While Tua Tagovailoa’s recent history of concussions has many fans worried about his long-term health, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been cleared for football duty. Tagovailoa saw multiple neurologists across the country — none of whom recommended he retire — after he suffered his third concussion since the start of 2022. ESPN was told that if Tagovailoa’s brain is given the time it needs to heal, he would not be at an increased risk of further injury compared to other players.
The 26-year-old QB admits the risks but said that he has such a love for the game that he never contemplated retiring this time around. And Tagovailoa told reporters ‘This is what I love to do.’ “That is what makes me happy.”
