On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins will kick off their 2024 regular season with a home contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Miami will again house one of the best offensive attacks in the NFL, courtesy of an elite passing offense and explosive rushing attack. Last season, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led the NFL with 4,624 yards, leaning on the star wide receiver duo of Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill. However, with three receivers sitting on the IR and rookie sixth-round pick Malik Washington unavailable, Miami will elevate a longtime NFL pass-catcher to the active roster for their Week 1 matchup.
Wide receiver Robbie Chosen, aka Robbie Anderson and Chosen Anderson, will dress on Sunday against the Jaguars. Chosen signed with Miami late last month following a brief stint with the San Francisco 49ers.
Miami Dolphins Elevate Robbie Chosen to Active Roster
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter:
Dolphins elevated wide receiver Robbie Chosen to the active roster for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars.
The Miami Dolphins inked Robbie Chosen to a contract late last month after he became a casualty of the San Francisco 49ers, reducing their roster to 53 players. 2024 will mark Chosen’s second stint with Miami, although he played for the AFC East club last season. He caught four passes for 126 yards and a touchdown in 2023. A former undrafted free agent, Chosen has recorded 379 receptions, 5,082 yards, and 30 touchdowns in his career, highlighted by a near 1,000-yard season with the New York Jets in 2019.
Chosen will join an understaffed Dolphins wide receiver room during their opener on Sunday. Jaylen Waddle, Tyreek Hill, and Braxton Berrios will remain the starters in three-receiver sets, but Chosen and Grant DuBose will likely be the only backups.
