The Miami Dolphins won their first game of the 2024 NFL regular season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Their 20-17 win featured seven receptions, 130 yards, and a touchdown from All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill who, as fans may be well aware, was arrested hours before the game for a traffic violation.
Before during, and after the game, footage from cell phone cameras that depicted Hill’s arrest was leaked online. Fans, analysts, coaches, and other players all found the content of the video disturbing.
However, the body came footage that was leaked online on Monday afternoon showed that the incident, and the police officers’ behavior, was far worse than people initially thought.

As one can see from the video, Hill is dragged from the car, either by his neck or his hair, thrown on the ground, and then placed in handcuffs.
The footage drew outraged responses from fans on social media. Some of them stated that incidents like this are why former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the National Anthem in the first place.
Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill Would Like to See Change
After the police footage was released, Hill made the following post on X:
Let’s make a change
— Ty Hill (@cheetah) September 10, 2024
While it may not seem like much on the surface, Hill’s message is a powerful one. “Let’s” or “Let us” is call for everyone, everyday citizens, athletes, and police officers, to make a change.
