The Miami Dolphins are looking to get their first playoff victory in over two decades this year, and they have just the team to do it if not more. However, their best player and the best player in the NFL voted by his peers, Tyreek Hill, may not be available to begin the season with the team due to injury.
Tyreek Hill Has To Postpone The Race With Olympian Noah Lyles
The Dolphins star receiver Tyreek may have to take a minor rain check on the race he wanted to set up with Olympic Gold medalist Noah Lyles after he sustained a hand injury at practice.Last week, Hill was trash-talking the Olympic sprinter and they kept going back and forth on social media. Hill insisted that he could beat Noah in a race and they were almost about to set it up!
“If you are seriously about it, you’ll see me on the track,” Lyles said on Saturday’s Nightcap.
Hill then went on to accept the challenge when he was making a reply to a clip of Lyles’ podcast. It seemed that two of them were going to give the fans what they want:
“Sign the contract and lock in that 50-yard race,” Hill declared.
While it seemed that both gentlemen were keen on making the race happen, now Hill will have to take a rain check as he will need to heal up if he wants to be on the field in week 1 of the season.
Tyreek Hill Dealing With Hand Injury At Practice
Per one of the Dolphins insiders, Cameron WolwantedHill is now dealing with a hand injury and was seen at practice wearing a removable brace on his right hand.
He did suit up in full uniform for practice, but he did not work on catching passes at all. Wolfe also said that the head coach of the team Mike McDaniels is always very cautious when it comes to keeping players healthy. McDaniels is sure to be extra cautious when it comes to his best player. He will do everything for Hill to be ready and healthy in week one.
“Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is latest player dealing with minor injury. He wore a removable brace on right hand during practice today. Hill was in uniform/helmet but I didn’t spot him catch a pass. Mike McDaniel has noted caution with many players to get/keep them healthy for season,” Wolfe reported.
Hill was ranked the best player in the NFL by his peers as he was first in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2023. He totaled 119 receptions, 1,799 yards, and 13 touchdowns. He was of course a first-team All-Pro and also won the Offensive Player of The Year.
It makes sense that the team would be very cautious about Hill as he is their key player on offense. The team will continue to monitor the injury in hopes of getting him ready for week 1.
The only question is whether or not Hill be ready to start the year.
