Around a week ago, Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill ripped Noah Lyles by claiming he could beat him in a race. Subsequently, the Olympic sprinter has laid out his response to the wide receiver to meet him on the track.
Hill has stirred up a bit of controversy by claiming that he could beat the reigning Olympic 100-meter gold medalist, Noah Lyles, in a race. In an interview with Kay Adams on the Up & Adams show, Hill confidently stated he will beat Noah Lyles. The WR added he wouldn’t beat him by a lot, but he would beat Noah Lyles.
However, the evidence suggests that his boasts may be more bark than bite. Despite his impressive high school track records, including a personal best of 10.19 seconds in the 100-meter dash, The Dolphins star hasn’t seriously competed in track and field since 2014. In contrast, Lyles is in the prime of his career, having just set the U.S. record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 19.31 seconds, the third-fastest time in history.
Lyles’ recent Olympic triumph, where he clocked a time of 9.79 seconds in the 100-meter race, further underscores the gap between the two athletes. While Hill’s competitive spirit is admirable, it’s unlikely that he would be able to match Lyles’ world-class speed and endurance, even if he did attempt a comeback in the 2028 Olympics as he has suggested.
Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill’s Diss Track Gets Response From Olympian Noah Lyles
For his part, Lyles has heard Hill’s challenge and seemingly accepted it. Speaking to NFL legend Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson in a video shared by ClutchPoints on X, the Olympian sprinter strikes back at the Dolphins star.
“If he’s serious about it, not just talking on the internet … if you’re serious about it, you’ll see me on track”

Around a year ago, Lyles criticized the NBA for calling its champions “world champions,” arguing that a league based primarily in the United States cannot claim global supremacy. Several NBA players, including Kevin Durant and Damian Lillard, responded negatively to Lyles’ comments.
It remains to be seen whether Hill and Lyles will actually meet on the track to make good on the former’s challenge. In any case, it’d be an interesting day for fans if the two would actually race.
