Former Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer has opened the latest chapter of his professional career with the Miami Dolphins, signing with them in March after playing for the Buffalo Bills for seven seasons. His move to Florida meant major life adjustments for his family, but his wife, Rachel Bush, stayed with him every step of the way.
An influential social media personality herself with over 4.1 million followers on Instagram, Bush isn’t shy about speaking her mind, whether it be about politics or the NFL. She recently ranted on X, calling out the referees she thought seemed to favor their Week 3 opponents, the Seattle Seahawks.
“Why do these refs hate Miami today?” Bush wrote. She wasn’t the only one upset, either.

Following the first half, the referees flagged the Dolphins for illegal formation twice. The back-to-back calls favored the Seahawks, causing Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel to be visibly agitated and yell at the officials.
While the Seahawks dominated the Dolphins in a rather embarrassing 24-3 loss, most fans agreed with Bush and McDaniel that the referees’ apparent bias against their team contributed to the loss.
The Miami Dolphins are currently on a two-game losing streak, previously losing to the Bills, Poyer’s old team. They started the season with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Rachel Bush cheered for Jordan Poyer before his Miami Dolphins debut
Jordan Poyer’s wife, Rachel Bush, gushed over his new Miami Dolphins gear before the 2024 season started. She also hyped him for becoming part of the NFL Top 100 list for the second time.
Bush took to her Instagram, posting stories praising her husband.
“How many years in a row?!,” Bush wrote in her caption. “You go rockstar!! Love you!! What an accomplishment.”
In an earlier social media post, an emotional Bush talked about how her husband helped change the culture in Buffalo.
“I don’t have the words yet but they are coming (along with so many photo memories). Right now I just want my husband to know what a leader and inspiration he is. The impact he made will always be remembered. Both within the football world and outside as well.”
Prior to playing for the Buffalo Bills for seven seasons, Jordan Poyer also had prior stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cleveland Browns. He signed with the Miami Dolphins on March 18, 12 days after he was released by the Bills.
