Miami Dolphins First Practice in Front of Fans
Sunday, the Dolphins held their first practice in front of their fans and it seemed to have gone well. Fans were pumped to see their team and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa back at practice.
Some practice highlights were Jaylen Waddle and Jalen Ramsey doing some one-on-one work. Fans cheered when Tagovailoa threw one-on-one completions but was unable to connect on the long ball.
He did manage to complete an eight-yard touchdown pass to Waddle in the Red zone, also throwing a touchdown to tight Jody Fortson. When doing red zone drills the Dolphins offense was decent.
After Tagovailoa, QB2 Mike White through a touchdown pass to Tanner Conner. Conner is a prospect to look out for in the preseason.
However, Anthony Weaver’s defense showed up as well at practice. Javon Holland’s was off Tagovailoa’s tipped pass and Isiah Mack’s was off QB2 Mike White.
Miami Dolphins and Tua Tagovailoa Had an All-Around Good Practice Sunday
All eyes are on Tagovailoa to see if he was worth the massive contract extension on Sunday. Fans loved seeing him operate the offense and screaming his name. Tagovailoa also took the excitement from the fans interacting with them. There were all smiles from Tua and the Miami Dolphins fans.
Tua Tagovailoa seemed to have a good all-around practice but we will see if he was worthy of such a big contract come the new season. Through 17 games last season, Tagovailoa completed 69.3% of his passes for 4,624 yards and 29 touchdowns to 14 interceptions.
If Tua can stay healthy this season and injury-free he can be a top-10 quarterback and lead the Dolphins in the playoffs. Coach Mike McDaniel and Tua Tagovailoa have a great relationship together and McDaniel was one of the reasons for the big contract.
The Miami Dolphins and Coach Mike McDaniel have all the confidence in their franchise quarterback. The Dolphins are hoping to win the AFC East and move deep into the playoffs. The Dolphins will open the regular season at home against Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars.
Trevor Lawrence is another quarterback who signed a long-term contract with the Jaguars. So it will be a battle between quarterbacks on who was worth more and if the contracts they signed reflect the play this season and when they face each other.
