With the fantasy football draft season approaching, team owners are looking for the late round sleepers to make a big splash late in the season. With some new and returning explosive playmakers, which Miami Dolphin players could help you win your league.
CEDRIC WILSON JR.
Last season with the Dallas Cowboys, Cedric Wilson Jr. was part a high power offense, where he did most of his route running from the slot. Wilson finished last season strong with a ceiling of 23 points in the final week of the season. The 27 year old wide receiver joins a receiving group that includes Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, which could make it an uphill battle for targets, but being the taller of the three could make him a reliable option in the red zone.
CHASE EDMUNDS
In 2021 Chase Edmonds was considered the Arizona Cardinals starting running back alongside James Conner. Though it looked like Conner was their short yard and red zone back it was Edmonds who dominated in receptions. Edmonds was ranked fourth in receptions among running backs for the first six weeks of the season. With new coach Mike Mcdaniels leaning towards a more speedy approach, Edmonds could see an increase in targets from last year.
MIKE GESICKI
One of the hardest positions to fill is tight end. Over the last two seasons Mike Gesicki has shown growth each year despite not having any stability at quarterback. Last season Mike Gesicki was able to average 9.9 points a game. With more weapons lined up alongside him, Gesicki could find himself with a lot more favorable matchups. Gesicki is currently ranked as the number 11 tight end in the league, but if things go as well as Coach Mcdaniels hopes, he could easily end up in the top five.
