Unfortunately for Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins, police brutality has been a contentious issue in this country for much of its recent history. While there are many honest, hard-working police officers out there in the world, some men and women who suffer from issues with aggression and self-control can infiltrate the profession and either intentionally or subconsciously destroy the trust of the public with unnecessary acts of hostility. With body cam footage, there should be virtually no argument about which category the specific officers in question fell under.
Footage of Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Reveals Relatively Harmless Traffic Stop
Since the arrest, the Miami-Dade Police Department has released the body cam footage of both the initial traffic stop and the subsequent detainment by police officers. The video below shows the initial traffic stop.
This will be a thread of the available video. This first video shows Tyreek Hill driving near Hard Rock Stadium. Can’t tell how fast he’s going but it shows the first interaction with police. pic.twitter.com/SkF9I5MQrp

It is difficult to see exactly how fast Hill is driving in the video but it is clear that he isn’t causing enough of a scene to warrant four individual police officers to be present during the traffic stop. Once the stop is initiated, additional footage shown below shows one police officer forcibly removing Hill from the car and throwing him to the ground.

Teammate Calais Campbell was the one who arrived at the scene and attempted to observe the incident before he too was also detained.
More information will be provided on this story following the decisions of the Miami-Dade Police Department.
