The Miami Dolphins understand that this coming season matters a lot for many members of the current roster.
Tua Tagovailoa wants a secure future with the Dolphins and may hold out until he gets the contracts he thinks he deserves.
Mike McDaniel is in his third year in charge of the Dolphins, and the team’s bigwigs may be looking for more marked progress for his team’s progress.
Tyreek Hill has been with the team for two seasons, and he is yet to make good on his promise and lead the Dolphins to the Super Bowl. Even he is putting pressure on the organization to give him a fresh contract.
As the Dolphins prepare to make another run for the Super Bowl, they will be hoping that the roster they built through the offseason will be able to stand up to the best the AFC has to offer.
One of the players they hope can help the team in their Lombardi push is Connor Williams. The former Dallas Cowboys star has been a solid contributor in his two seasons with the squad.
However, the team’s lineup situation puts a wrinkle on the Dolphins’ plans to keep him.
Connor Williams’ agent explains the crowded center room is hurting the Miami Dolphins’ chances to keep him

Williams, who finished the season on the sideline after a serious knee injury, is looking to start the 2024 season on time.
While he’s open to the possibility of returning to the Dolphins, his agent made it clear that he will only want to play for the Dolphins if he’s going be assured of starter minutes.
Per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald:
“On behalf of Connor, I’m sure he’d be open to it. I wouldn’t think that it’s likely he would return here with the Dolphins.
“I certainly wouldn’t rule anything out, but the Dolphins did sign a fine center in Aaron Brewer from the Tennessee Titans and made a big investment. I think Connor, wherever he signs, it will be as a center.”
Williams played four seasons in Dallas before signing with the Dolphins. He played all 17 games in his first full season, but his starts took a dive in his second season, and moved all over the offensive line.

With Williams wanting to stay in front of the QB, the Dolphins will find it tough to extend him for longer.
