The Miami Dolphins have a cornerback dilemma after parting ways with two veterans this offseason. Not only is their depth relatively weak and inexperienced, but two players have also went down with injuries in the first week of training camp. Artie Burns suffered a season-ending ACL tear on Wednesday, the first day of practice, and the Dolphins later placed him on injured reserve.
The Miami Dolphins’ star nickel suffered an injury on Saturday

Kader Kohou sustained an apparent leg injury during 1-on-1 drills in Saturday’s practice and limped off the field under his own power. According to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, the star nickel walked by their set after practice without a brace, with no limitations in his walk, and a slight limp. Kohou will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury.
Kader Kohou walked by our set a couple times after practice under his own power to get further evaluation. Walked around without much limitation — maybe a slight limp — no visible boot/wraps. https://t.co/AVF81OAIvQ

Concerned with their depth, the Dolphins addressed the cornerback position on Saturday.
Miami Dolphins add veteran cornerback amid injuries to the position

According to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports, the Dolphins have signed Mike Hilton to a contract. The 31-year-old veteran is a versatile cornerback who can play in the slot, in the box, and on the outside. Hilton will likely line up in the nickel, while Kader Kohou moves to the outside.
