The New York Giants wide receiver room entering the 2025 NFL season will be headlined by Malik Nabers. However, after Nabers, where else will the production come from?

Wan’Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton are also projected to be in the mix as starters. However, could Jalin Hyatt finally get some serious play time for the Giants or will that not happen? One free agent wide receiver that New York met with during the offseason was Gabe Davis. Davis is still not signed yet. Should they sign him to the roster before the 2025 NFL season?
New York Giants Urged To Sign Gabe Davis According To One NFL Analyst

Kevin Patra of nfl.com listed some potential best fits for some current free agent players. Patra thinks that the best fit for Davis would be the Giants. He said,
“Big Blue reportedly met with Davis early in the offseason process, but the wideout has yet to find a landing spot. The connection with New York is obvious: General manager Joe Schoen was part of the Bills front office that drafted Davis in the fourth round in 2020, and head coach Brian Daboll was Davis’ offensive coordinator in Buffalo for the first two seasons of his career. The Giants’ receiver room is iffy behind the starting crew, led by stud Malik Nabers. Davis would provide field-stretching ability to pair with Darius Slayton. And camp injury scares to Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson highlight this group’s need for depth. After quickly washing out of Jacksonville, Davis profiles as a player who, in the right spot, could revamp his standing with a one-year contract. Given the familiarity with Daboll, New York makes sense as the setting for a prove-it deal.”
During the 2024 NFL season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he caught 20 passes for 239 yards receiving and two touchdowns, along with averaging 11.9 yards per reception. Davis was targeted 42 times. It is a little bit of a surprise that he is still a free agent at this point.
The Giants having him would be a good thing, considering the fact that Davis knows Daboll’s offense when they spent time together with the Buffalo Bills. New York should add another wide receiver to its room considering the fact that it may not be that deep after Nabers anyways.
