Former Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans. A lot of Cleveland fans are not thrilled that Chubb decided to sign with Houston and not come back to the Land.

He has been with Cleveland since 2018. Chubb was a second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft from the Georgia Bulldogs. With the Browns heading in a different direction in the backfield, Chubb decided to join Houston. The Texans could have the best backfield in the NFL in 2025 with him and Joe Mixon.
Former Cleveland Browns Running Back Nick Chubb Leaves Heartfelt Message For the Fanbase

Chubb left a heartfelt message for the Browns fanbase. Some of it said,
“Cleveland you didn’t just embrace me, you became my family.”
There is no doubt that injuries may have played a role in Chubb not returning to Cleveland. He rushed for 332 yards on 102 carries and three touchdowns, along with averaging 3.3 yards per carry. Chubb also caught five passes for 31 yards receiving and one touchdown, along with averaging 6.2 yards per reception. He is 29 years old, and the Browns maybe felt like he had nothing left in the tank.
Fans React To Statement

Way to go @Browns @JDubsIII. You never care about the fans and what it means to be a Brown. He deserved to finish his career in Cleveland. All to save a pretty penny. Ya’ll are a disgrace you should be ashamed

Spoken from a true professional on and off the field. Go win one for Houston and show this organization why they made another bad decision.

2) AB said “No it’s unlikely Nick returns at this point & we really like the guys we have in the RB room now” something extremely close 2 those exact words. He doesn’t give a crap whatsoever -cold as ice I was in shock when I heard that come out of his mouth! This regime ugh!! 🤮

Some Browns fans think that Chubb’s number should be retired, and no one should wear #24 for Cleveland ever again. However, Cleveland ownership will probably decide not to retire that number as well.
