Tre Bradford’s name was off on LSU’s roster as the Tigers began fall camp on Thursday. With Bradford’s name off of the roster the running back room is left with John Emery, Noah Cain and Armoni Goodwin as the frontrunners for the position. Brian Kelly spoke after today’s practice on Tre Bradford not being on the team:
“Tre has been separated from the university…he’s no longer on the roster.”

The former four-star running back out of high school was the No. 13 running back in the 2020 class. As a senior, he rushed for 1,563 yards and 23 touchdowns. He is a talented running back and has the ability to have a pass-catching threat out of the backfield.
Bradford has seen limited action on the Tigers’ offense. In his freshman season, he appeared in five games. His best game in the 2020 season was against Ole Miss where he rushed for nine times for 53 yards.
After the 2020 season, Bradford decided that he was going to put his name in the transfer portal. He chose to go to Oklahoma. He ultimately decided to come back to LSU before the start of the 2021 season.
Bradford only appeared in one game during the 2021 season and that was in the regular season finale against Texas A&M. He rushed twice for 11 yards in the Tigers’ last-second win over the Aggies.
Tiger fans will have to wait and see what exactly is the cause of Bradford’s exit. As for who will be the featured running back, we will have answers as we move through fall camp.
