On a day where LSU missed out on five-star quarterback, Dante Moore, LSU picked up a five-star commitment of their own. Brian Kelly and his staff continue to crush the recruiting trail by landing the five-star recruit out of Miami. Jalen Brown announced his commitment to the Tigers on Friday evening. The No. 3 WR in the ’23 Class chose the Tigers over Miami, Texas A&M, Florida State, and Michigan.
“With LSU, it’s really how they have been putting so many receivers in the league over the years. Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Ja’Marr Chase and then Kayshon Boutte. They are very successful at the wide receiver position. A lot of people call them WRU.”
247 composite rankings have Brown as the 29th player, fourth WR and eighth in Florida in the Class of 2023. The 6’1″, 170-pound receiver out of Gulliver Prep is coming off a junior season in which he caught 56 passes for 1,033 yards and 11 touchdowns. He averaged 27.8 yards a reception as a sophomore. Brown has one of the highest ceilings out of anyone in the Class of 2023 given his ability to use his elite speed to take the top off a defense.
What Could Be Next for the Tigers?

Whit Weeks, a three-star linebacker, will be announcing his commitment Saturday afternoon. Weeks final three includes LSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma. According to 247sports, LSU is currently the favorite to land the Watkinsville, Georgia native.
