The LSU Tigers seem to be coming apart at the seams. Head Coach Brian Kelly led the Bayou Bengals into Gainsville to face off with SEC foe Florida Gators yesterday. This was a must win game for the Tigers, still reeling from back-to-back losses coming at the hands of Texas A&M and Alabama. There is a pattern here, each loss continually looks uglier and sloppier than the last. Some fans even took to social media saying how hard it is to watch the Tigers play in their current state.
The game against Florida was supposed to be a get-right game for the Tigers offense. Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier has struggled as of late and was expected to get back on track against one of the worst secondaries in college football. This was far from the case, Nussmeier and the LSU offense made Florida’s defense look elite. The Tigers quarterback would be sacked a season high seven times in this SEC clash; to put that into perspective, the Tigers offensive line had only given up six sacks all season entering this game.
LSU Tigers Fall Apart Against Florida

The LSU Tigers got off to a slow start against the Gators yesterday, and never really picked it up. For a large portion of the game, it looked like some of the offensive players simply didn’t want to be there. A key example of this, is the final drive of the game. The Tigers were down two scores but still had two timeouts and plenty of time to make this game interesting. Instead, Nussmeier and the Tiger offense showed absolutely zero urgency on this drive. At one point burning two in a half minutes of clock just to go 27 yards.
The Bayou Bengals just seemed completely lost and without any firm leadership to right the ship. This team continues to spiral downwards after what at one point looked like a promising season. Nussmeier was once being considered one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC, now he’d be lucky to make top 10. Kelly’s body language through-out the night told the story; this team has given up. With the loss to Florida, it official eliminates LSU from the College Football Playoff picture and makes it so they will not be competing for the SEC Championship.
Brian Kelly Caught Screaming at Player

During their loss to Florida yesterday, HC Brian Kelly was caught going scorched Earth screaming at one of his receivers on the sideline. Wide Receiver Chris Hilton Jr was at the receiving end of Coach Kelly’s attack on Saturday. Hilton tried to walk away from the altercation with Kelly, but reading the coach’s lips you could clearly see him yelling “Don’t you walk away from me.” Kelly would then continue screaming at his young player, “You are f–king uncoachable, who the f–k do you think you are?”
In the third quarter it was also captured that LSU star receiver Kyren Lacy was yelling at the head coach, after an empty possession on offense. This looked like such a disaster on the sidelines, and it didn’t look any better on the field. It looks as if Coach Kelly may have very well lost this locker room. Despite his massive contract buy-out, the university may be looking to move on from the former Fighting Irish coach sooner than later to help rebuild the winning culture in Baton Rouge.
