The Cardinals added their 12th recruit after picking up four-star guard Madden Sanker. He chose Louisville over Georgia, Arkansas, Michigan State, and Miami.
Louisville offered Sanker in his sophomore year before paying his first unofficial trip in March 2022. He returned three months later for an official visit before announcing his commitment to Scott Satterfield’s program.
Assistant coach Nic Cardwell gets the nod for bringing in Sanker. The Appalachian State alumni joined Louisville’s staff in 2019 to be the tight ends coach.

Where Does Madden Sanker Rank?
The 6-foot-4, 305-pound prospect attends South Paulding High School in Douglasville, GA. After receiving offers from the nation’s best schools, Sanker earned an invitation to the Under Armour All-America Game.
The four-star guard sits at No. 130 on ESPN’s Class of 2023 Top 300. Sanker is ranked as the fifth-best offensive guard in the country and earned an 83 scout grade. National recruiting expert Chris Singletary applauds his power and aggression.
“The power and physicalness that he plays with stands out when he makes contact with his opponent. Does a good job of clearing through traffic to get to the 2nd level to engage linebackers in the run game. Once he latches on the defender he has strong hands and upper body strength to sustain the block… Sanker brings a mauler, aggressive mentality to the field in his play. As a guy who plays both tackle and guard his future projects more to the interior, where he will be able to refine his game. The talent is there to play both guard spots at a high level where he should be a multi-year starter at the Power-5 level.”
In Conclusion
Sanker becomes the highest-rated offensive lineman prospect to commit to Louisville. He joins three-star athletes Jordan Church and Luke Burgess as O-line recruits for the Cardinals.
Coach Satterfield is losing big names on his offensive line, so the addition of Sanker adds depth to a vital position. The clutch pickup for the Redbirds could result in the four-star guard making an immediate impact.
Louisville jumps to No. 14 on 247Sport’s national recruiting rankings with one five-star, five four-star, and six three-star athletes.
