The Los Angeles Rams signed Tre’Davious White to a 1-year, $8.5 million contract, worth up to $10 million in incentives, hoping to serve as the starting outside cornerback. Thanks to the Rams’ medical staff and hard work, White returned to the football field in time for training camp. Due to injuries, he opened the season as a starter.

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out for the Pro Bowl cornerback. White started the first four games but struggled in coverage, allowing 12 receptions on 18 targets for 178 yards, four touchdowns, and a 138.4 passer rating h/t Pro Football Reference. His struggles caused him to lose out on the starting job.
The Los Angeles Rams benched their Pro Bowl CB after Week 4
Since the Rams activated Darious Williams in time for Week 5, they benched Tre’Davious White in the starting rotation. Not only is White no longer a part of the starting rotation, but also been a healthy scratch for the past four games. The team has been trying to trade the former Pro Bowler for a while and would have released him if they couldn’t find a trade suitor.
The good news is they did find a trade suitor.
He found a new team
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Los Angeles Rams and the Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a trade. As Schefter points out, the Rams will send Tre’Davious White and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Ravens for a 2026 seventh-round pick. White will have a fresh start with a team in Super Bowl contention.
