The Los Angeles Rams are looking to return to the postseason for the second time in a row. After several injuries in 2022 set them back, the team improved last season greatly and will look to thrive even more in 2024. However, with every NFL team beginning to make cuts to make room for the 53-man roster, the Rams have released one of their running backs, who will likely be picked up by another team very soon.
Los Angeles Rams Release Running Back
Los Angeles has released former Philadelphia Eagles running back Boston Scott after signing him just after this year’s draft. Scott had a heavy workload this preseason, however, the team did not see enough from him in the three games played and will not be keeping him on the roster.

The veteran running back amounted to 157 rushing yards on 36 carries this preseason, which has left some fans and analysts wondering why the team released him in the first place. The Rams will now have three running backs on their roster after releasing Scott despite his strong preseason campaign.
Boston Scott Career
Since joining the league in 2018, the veteran has rushed for 1,295 yards and 16 touchdowns, along with 71 receptions for 566 yards. He has been a solid second option in the running back’s room throughout his career, which has been with the Eagles until this season.
Where Will Scott End Up?
Many fans and analysts believe that the running back will be picked up by another squad in the near future. Some are saying that Philadelphia could sign him back to the team as he has shown production for them in years past. Others think that a new team that needs running back depth will pick him up, such as the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Do you think Soctt will be picked up by another team before the start of the 2024 regular season, or will he remain a free agent until later on in the year?
