The Los Angeles Rams proved everyone wrong last season by making the playoffs. With coach Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford, you can always trust this team to get wins, but it seems that this year’s team is legitimately cursed with injuries.
We have not played the week 2 games yet, and the Rams are missing at least 11 key players with most of them being starters to injury. Their season could be done before it ever got started. They are in a very tough division, and if the losses keep mounting they may not even have a chance at the postseason.
Los Angeles Rams Have At Least 11 Players Out With Injury
The Rams have been absolutely wrecked on the offensive line, and it’s not week 2 yet. They are so thin at the offensive line that they are now looking around for any type of depth. But their injury issues are much worse than just their line. Here is a full list of the team’s key players who are injured after a single game of football:
- WR Puka Nacua – Knee: Injured Reserve
- TE Tyler Higbee – Knee: PUP List
- TE Davis Allen – Back: Questionable
- LT Joe Noteboom – Ankle: Injured Reserve
- RT Rob Havenstein – Ankle: Questionable
- LG Rob Avila – Knee: Injured Reserve
- RG Kevin Dotson – Ankle: Questionable
- LB Christian Rozeboom – Hip: Questionable
- CB Darious Williams – Hamstring: Injured Reserve
- CB Cobie Durant – Toe: Questionable
- S Quentin Lake – Hip: Questionable
That is a very long list of both offensive and defensive players just one game into the season. These players are all key at their positions, and their Oline is specifically destroyed at the moment.
Missing offensive weapons like Puka and Higbee is also brutal for the team’s success overall. These guys were crucial to the team’s wins last season, and Stafford is certainly going to have a tough time these next couple of weeks to get wins.
As you can see above, four offensive linemen are dealing with injury and that’s not to mention their LT Alaric Jackson who is suspended for the first two games of the season. While the team is looking to bring in familiar faces to protect Stafford, they may have a very tough time keeping their quarterback up with a bunch of backup linemen.
The Rams are playing the Cardinals this week, followed by the 49ers, Bears, and Packers. This will be a crucial stretch for them to get some wins with all their injuries if they have hopes of making the playoffs.
