Thanks to a breakout performance in Week 3, Amari Cooper’s value for the Cleveland Browns is looking good. If the team may consider cashing in on their wide receiver, the Los Angeles Rams is projected to be a potential trade partner ahead of the deadline.
In Week 3, Cooper showcased his talent with a standout performance against the New York Giants, marking a significant comeback after a slow start to the season. He recorded seven receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns, providing a much-needed spark for the Cleveland Browns’ struggling offense. His ability to create separation and make crucial plays was evident from the very first snap, reinforcing his status as a top-tier receiver in the league.
Despite the Browns’ overall disappointing performance, Cooper emerged as a beacon of hope. His impressive route-running and excellent footwork along the sidelines allowed him to make key catches, demonstrating his skill and resilience. The Browns will be looking for him to build on this momentum in the coming weeks, aiming for consistency and further contributions to the offense.
While the team grapples with offensive line issues and quarterback pressures, Cooper’s resurgence could be vital for their success. As other players around him struggle to find their rhythm, he stands out as a reliable target for Deshaun Watson. The Browns need the WR to continue stepping up, particularly as they face tougher opponents ahead.
Los Angeles Rams Identified as Projected Suitor for Cleveland Browns’ Amari Cooper
Just recently, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox projected the Rams as a possible landing spot for Cooper. This can be seen in his NFL analysis and mock trade proposal for the Browns’ wide receiver.“Cleveland is still trying to make things work with quarterback Deshaun Watson, but that will be a lost cause if it can’t find reinforcements along the line—the signal-caller has been sacked 16 times through three weeks.
Trading Cooper, who will be a free agent in the offseason, might be Cleveland’s only hope. If the five-time Pro Bowler becomes available, virtually every receiver-needy team should be interested.
The Los Angeles Rams might be at the front of the line, as both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp are both currently sidelined. Nacua could be out until Week 9, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport,” Knox wrote.
Cooper could be a crucial addition for the Rams as they navigate injury challenges. With the Browns potentially looking to trade him, his experience and skill set would enhance the Rams’ receiving corps, providing much-needed depth alongside Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.
If the Rams can secure Cooper, it would significantly bolster their offense, allowing them to remain competitive. Adding him would not only improve their passing game but also offer a strategic advantage as the season progresses.
