The Los Angeles Rams will continue to be led from under center by quarterback Matthew Stafford. The veteran signal-caller is returning for his 17th season in the NFL, as he looks to help the Rams defend their NFC West division title in the 2025 season.
Of course, the end goal for LA is not just topping the division again but scaling the NFL playoffs and winning the Super Bowl, just like the Rams did in 2022, when they defeated Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in the grand stage.
Amid rumors of a potential retirement from the NFL, Stafford let everyone know that he’s still in for the ride when he inked a two-year, $84 million restructured contract extension with the Rams last March.
Stafford, who turned 37 years old last February, may have his best days behind him, but the Rams still trust him, and he’ll try to reciprocate that with strong play in the coming season. In 2024, the former Georgia Bulldogs gunslinger threw for 3,762 passing yards and 20 touchdowns with eight interceptions in 16 games for the Rams, who went 10-7.

Los Angeles Rams are thrilled about Stafford’s 2025 season

The Rams shared an Instagram post showing a video of Stafford during a photo shoot. The post is accompanied by a caption that read: “Year 17 never looked so good 🤩.”
Rams supporters and NFL fans in general had a lot to say about Stafford, as they shared their reactions on the comments section.
“So happy he’s our QB”
“The Wizard working his magic. 🙌”
“I’ll take Stafford over Jalen Hurts as the best QB in the NFC.”
“Year 17🔥, let’s have a healthy nd dominant year”
“Love my glorious king🥰🥰”
“Brothers been in the league since I was born 😭😭😭”
“He’s fired up for another ring💍💍💍”
