The Los Angeles Rams completed voluntary organized team activities on Thursday and will transition into their final three days of spring practices next week. The team will hold mandatory minicamp from Monday to Wednesday, followed by a month-long break. After that, the Rams will start training camp in late July.
One position to keep an eye on is cornerback. The defense has one of the two starting outside positions locked in, with several players competing for the other, including Ahkello Witherspoon, Cobie Durant, and Emmanuel Forbes. There are also rumors that the team is interested in acquiring a veteran cornerback, particularly Jalen Ramsey.
A Los Angeles Rams sixth-round pick fell out of the rotation

Derion Kendrick competed for the starting cornerback job for the 2024 season before an offseason injury ended things. He tore his ACL on the first day of training camp, ending his third season before it began. Although Kendrick returned for OTAs, he ultimately fell out of the rotation and is no longer part of the competition, with his roster spot in jeopardy.

According to Adam Schefter, the Rams have waived Derion Kendrick and will be subject to the waiver wire for the next 24 hours. As a result, the front office frees up $3.406 million in cap space and now has roughly $24 million to work with. If a team claims Kendrick off waivers, they will inherit the remainder of his rookie contract.
