Amid a flurry of wide receiver trades over the past week, another star could be on the move in the coming days.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has been mentioned as the next potential receiver to be dealt, ahead of the November 5 trade deadline, especially as the Rams have struggled to compete through the first six weeks of this season.
This week, Kupp opened up about suddenly becoming the subject of trade rumors and speculation.
“I’m aware of it, but at the end of the day, I mean, I’m going to be where my feet are,” Kupp told reporters. “That’s all I know. I have a job to do here. And I take a lot of pride in giving everything I can for the guys in this building and being able to step on the field knowing that I prepared the best that I can. And for seven and a half years I’ve been an L.A. Ram and I’ve taken that approach every single day.
“And whatever happens outside of that, I’ve got to control what I can control. And right now that means being the best L.A. Ram that I can be.”
Several Super Bowl contending teams have been linked to a possible Kupp trade, as the receiver enters Week 8 of this season with 18 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown in two games this season.
Kupp has not played since Week 2 of this season, when he suffered an ankle injury, and now it becomes an open question whether he has played his final game in a Rams uniform as Los Angeles prepares for a Thursday night clash against the Minnesota Vikings.
