The Los Angeles Chargers are playing the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football this week, trying to get to a 9-4 record and keep the AFC Division interesting. The Chargers have been one of the more surprising teams this season with the help of their defense and new head coach, Jim Harbaugh. However, one of the team’s key offensive weapons was just diagnosed with an injury, causing him to miss the game.
Los Angeles Chargers Receiver Injury
Star rookie Ladd McConkey was ruled out just a couple of hours before kickoff with a shoulder and knee injury. McConkey has been the Chargers’ number-one target to throw to for Justin Herbert this season, so it will be tough for the offense to have success against a stout Kansas City defense.

Ladd McConkey
The rookie receiver has amounted to 815 receiving yards and four touchdowns this season, which leads the team. He has been a great surprise for the Los Angeles offense after losing their two best-receiving weapons this past offseason, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
With J.K. Dobbins already out for the game, losing McConkey will be rough for the Chargers, who will face a Chiefs defense that is one of the best in the league. Both of these teams played earlier in the year, with Kansas City winning 17-10, so Los Angeles’s defense will have to likely be its best if it wants to have a chance to beat them.
