Slater’s efforts earned him his second Pro Bowl selection.

Since the Chargers exercised his fully guaranteed 5th-year option last May for the 2025 season, Rashawn Slater will make $19.040 million in the final year of his rookie contract. The standout left tackle and the front office are both interested in securing a long-term contract extension, making him one of the highest-paid offensive linemen in the league. Slater has yet to sign a deal and decided to skip voluntary OTAs.

Los Angeles Chargers’ top lineman attends minicamp

Rashawn Slater attended all three days of mandatory minicamp this week, avoiding $100,000 in fines. During Thursday’s press conference, via Gavino Borquez of Chargers Wire, the standout tackle explained why he decided not to hold out of mandatory minicamp. Slater said he doesn’t want to miss any time and loves being with his teammates in Los Angeles.
“I don’t want to miss any time,” Slater said, via Borquez. “I love being here. It’s important. This is what we do, I love these guys.
“To be honest with you, I’m just going to continue training. I haven’t really thought that far ahead, but my intention is to play this year.”
