The Los Angeles Chargers made the playoffs in 2024 in Jim Harbaugh’s first season as the head coach of the franchise. The Chargers finished with a 11-6 record before they lost to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card Round.

Los Angeles will have the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. It will be interesting to see what direction the Chargers head in during the 2025 NFL Draft. They need more help on the offensive side of the football.
Los Angeles Chargers Find Offensive Play Maker For Jim Harbaugh In Latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The Athletic’s Nick Baumgardner created his latest NFL Mock Draft. With the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, he has the Chargers selecting running back Omarion Hampton from the North Carolina Tar Heels with this selection. Baumgardner said,
“Jim Harbaugh’s backfield needs thunder and lightning. And Hampton, a 221-pound hammer with speed and wiggle, can be both at the same time. Not only did he rush for more than 3,000 combined yards the last two years, but also he had more than 60 catches.”
During the 2024 season with the Tar Heels, he rushed for 1,660 yards on 281 carries and 15 touchdowns, along with averaging 5.9 yards per carry. He also caught 38 passes for 373 yards receiving and two touchdowns, along with averaging 9.8 yards per reception.
If the Chargers draft him, Hampton and Najee Harris would be an interesting backfield. This is the kind of team that Harbaugh wants to build in order to help quarterback Justin Herbert. He wants a team that will wear other NFL teams down, especially by running the football and winning at the line of scrimmage. k
