The Los Angeles Chargers are off to an amazing start in the Jim Harbaugh era! They are 2-0 and look like a completely new football team. However, things almost got derailed very quickly as their star quarterback Justin Herbert suffered a huge hit in the week 2 matchup. He was taken off the field and later returned to the game, but now the team got massive news from his X-rays.
Los Angeles Chargers Get Huge Update from Justin Herbert X-rays
It is only week 2 and the injuries are piling up already. Numerous star players went down on Sunday, and Herbert was one of them. The Chargers’ quarterback suffered an injury to his right leg in their 26-3 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Herbert was able to come back to the game and completed a solid performance in their new style of offense under Harbaugh. Herbert looked a bit sluggish when he returned and fans were getting nervous that the injury may be problematic for Herbert.

On Monday, the team got massive news that they avoided any severe issues with Herbert on Sunday. Harbaugh told reporters that the X-rays showed no severe issues, and the team is very optimistic. Herbert will do more tests throughout the week but thankfully he avoided any major injury:
“I’m sure there’ll be further evaluations as the week goes on,” Harbaugh said when asked if Herbert underwent an MRI, per The Athletic’s Daniel Popper.
Fnatasy football managers are certainly not loving Herbert’s new role in the very run-heavy offense that Harbaugh brings, but this is obviously a much better system for Herbert to thrive in and win games.
The team opened up the season with back-to-back wins and they will look to build on that as they have two tough games ahead of them. It is truly impressive to think about what they are doing when taking into consideration all the offensive pieces they lost in the offseason. Herbert is missing, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Eckler, and yet the team looks much better:
“I think he reminded everybody that he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League,” Harbaugh said of Herbert after Sunday’s win, per ESPN’s Kris Rhim.
Herbert and Harbaugh may have something cooking in Los Angeles, and thankfully the team got massive great news today about Herbert’s injury.
