The Los Angeles Chargers have a new identity to the team with coach Jim Harbaugh leading the way, but they still have some talent on the roster. It is being reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that kicker Cameron Dicker has agreed to a four-year, $22.004 million contract extension, with $12.5 million guaranteed.
This deal makes Dicker one of the highest-paid kickers in the NFL and after just two seasons after being undrafted out of Texas. The Los Angeles Chargers’ special teams have been among the best in the sport thanks to Cameron Dicker, who is 52-of-55 on field goal attempts and has not missed a single extra-point attempt in 59 tries.

In a sport where getting those three points almost automatically is not easy, getting Cameron Dicker signed for the long haul is something great. He is now with the Los Angeles Chargers until the 2028 season and now has a larger deal than Evan McPherson and Graham Gano at the position. This should wind up being a steal of a deal for the Chargers, who can continue to add points to the scoreboard after getting a long-term extension with one of the best players at the position.
Can the Los Angeles Chargers make the playoffs this season?
After seeing a lot of key offensive players from last year’s roster no longer with the team, the Los Angeles Chargers are going to be in a bit of a different spot. Austin Ekeler left for the Washington Commanders, Mike Williams is a New York Jet and Keenan Allen is catching passes from rookie Caleb Williams in Chicago.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Los Angeles Chargers are -130 odds to miss the playoffs and +4500 to win the Super Bowl. This is going to be a make-or-break year for Justin Herbert, who has brand new weapons and a former quarterback at the coach helping him out.
This Los Angeles Chargers team was a disappointment last season and it feels like unless some major positives swing their way, they are going to miss the postseason for another year. The AFC is loaded with contenders and they are not going to surpass the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. With the AFC North being loaded, the AFC East having three potential playoff teams and the AFC South no longer a joke, this is the toughest the road has been,
