The Ohio State Buckeyes are set to kickoff an exciting slate of games on Saturday in the historic Wrigley Field in Chicago.
The Buckeyes are set to face off against an extremely rested Northwestern Wildcats team who desperately need wins. Ohio State is three weeks removed from a bye-week of their own, with two decisive wins over Penn State and Nebraska. This past week, the Buckeyes beat the Boilermakers up, scoring 45-points and not allowing a single one in return.
Now, the Ohio State Buckeyes must travel to Chicago to play against the Northwestern Wildcats on a converted field. Wrigley Field will switch from baseball to college football for a day as the Wildcats currently do not have a real home stadium. Wrigley Field has a capacity of 41,649 people which will be needed for the potentially massive crowd.
Northwestern has been playing home games at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium, which is the soccer/lacrosse stadium for the program. The games have been interesting to watch admittedly with the lakeside view but also do not have anywhere near the same capacity or atmosphere for fans. In comparison to Wrigley Field, Martin Stadium has a capacity of 12,023 people.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are in a very important position currently, needing to win-out in order to both compete for a Big Ten Conference Championship as well as a College Football Playoff spot. Northwestern, however, is coming off of a week-long bye with three very difficult games left standing in the way of a possible bowl game.
Many Ohio State Buckeyes fans loved to see the field ahead of the game, and seem excited to watch the probable blowout occur. Some fans also pointed out the fact that the field should showcase the Buckeyes, as the game was booked in an alternate location to house more fans.

They should have done the right thing and painted this for Ohio State.
Only reason it’s being hosted there is so a 1 loss team can cry about a temporary stadium.

Northwestern must play Ohio State at Wrigley, Michigan in Ann Arbor, and then Illinois at Martin Stadium before finishing the season.
Ohio State Buckeyes Expected to Blow Northwestern Wildcats Out at Wrigley Field
Currently, the Ohio State Buckeyes are anticipated to dominate the Northwestern Wildcats in a near sold out game.
The Buckeyes are 30-point favorites over the Wildcats in a game that is being played in Chicago, but will feel like it is being played in Columbus. The Buckeyes had a packed crowd for their previous game against the Purdue Boilermakers, who are arguably the bottom of the Big Ten Conference.
