Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey and his wife, Sydney, showed off their first trip as husband and wife, before the NFL charges off to the 2025 season.
Over at Instagram, Sydney shared a series of stories showing off their trip to a white sand beach. One story even showed how clear the water at their resort is, as she captured a swimming tortoise.
Ladd McConkey and Sydney Horne began their relationship during their college days and have stayed together ever since, until they finally got married just this April. However, the couple was forced to postpone their honeymoon as Ladd had to go through the Chargers’ mandatory offseason camp.

As the camp closed, the couple finally had their time together and their first trip as husband and wife. Despite being newlyweds, the couple has not publicly opened up about any plans of wanting to have children early on in their marriage.
Is Ladd McConkey Getting More Muscular For The 2025 Season?
A recent report from the official website of the Chargers hinted that wide receiver Ladd McConkey may be working on getting bigger and more muscular for the upcoming season.
“McConkey said he focused on getting his body right this offseason and appeared to bulk up a bit, too,” the piece said, talking about players who stood out during the team’s offseason training program.”If he can stay healthy and play all 17 games, the Chargers’ best wide receiver should put up strong numbers once again.”
“His skillset is off the charts,” said Chargers wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal. “He comes out of breaks, he’s really sharp, his angles are great, speed into the defense is off the charts.
“Just been really, really impressed by him,” Lal added. “He’s better than advertised, really.”

Despite his impressive stats as a rookie, McConkey spent much of the year with numerous injuries, including a concussion, a hip issue, a shoulder sprain, and a knee tweak. Remarkably, he only missed one game, thanks to his willingness to gut out pain and play on when the team needed him most.
With these struggles in mind, McConkey worked not only on his play and routine but also on his physical aspect, which led to him potentially building up more muscle to meet the greater physical demand of the NFL

Armed with stronger legs, a sharper sense of self-preservation, and the Chargers’ full confidence, Ladd McConkey is primed to stay on the field and take his game even higher.
