Jaxson Dart, rookie quarterback for the New York Giants, shone like a diamond on the field as he chalked up a pair of impressive touchdowns for the team in the Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. After their first win of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers the previous week, the Giants got back to their losing pattern as they were defeated by the New Orleans Saints.

The Giants lost 26-14 to the Saints, despite Dart’s pair of TDs for the team. Tight end Theo Johnson, who is in his sophomore season with the New York Giants, also managed to impress with a pair of scores for the team as well. Dart himself had a major cheerleader in the crowd as his mom Kara celebrated his TDs in that game.

Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants will have another important matchup lined up soon as they meet the Philadelphia Eagles next in Thursday Night Football. Both teams will be coming to this showdown with defeats, with the Giants having freshly lost to the Saints and the Eagles losing their first game of the season to the Denver Broncos.

The New York Giants started off this season with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson as their starting quarterback. However, Wilson did not churn out the numbers that the Giants were looking for and the quarterback was eventually replaced by Dart. Meanwhile, Dart has been phenomenal in his debut season, even managing to take the team to their first win of the 2025 NFL season against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Jaxson Dart’s Teammate Russell Wilson May Soon Be Traded
On another note, Jaxson Dart’s teammate, Russell Wilson, may soon find himself with another team before the season ends as per recent rumors. After the veteran and highly talented quarterback was benched after the third consecutive loss for the New York Giants, rumors started going around that the signal-caller may be traded to another team soon.
Russell Wilson signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants during the offseason and was seen as their savior for this NFL campaign. While Wilson himself has not even hinted about retiring anytime soon from the league, many have been calling for the quarterback to hang up his cleats after a poor production of scores this season. Wilson has continued to share uplifting words of encouragement for his team, amidst their struggles in the first few weeks of the season.
