After McCarthy’s three scores in that game, Katya re-shared a screenshot from a critic sharing preview picks. McCarthy’s long-time girlfriend-turned-fiancee shared a smirking face emoji along with the screenshot, denoting her reaction.
J.J. McCarthy not only led the Vikings to an incredible win against Detroit, but also created history in the league to become the first player to score two passing touchdowns and one rushing TD in two of a player’s first three games in his career.
While McCarthy was drafted by Minnesota the previous year, the QB had to sit out the entire season as a result of an injury. This makes this ongoing football campaign McCarthy’s first season on the field.
J.J. McCarthy clearly blew everyone’s mind with his stellar performance against the Lions, with many critics swallowing their words after spewing hate against the young QB before. “He’s like the UPS driver. I don’t know who he is, but they always deliver on time. The package has never screwed up. I love the delivery system. I don’t know if the UPS driver is any good. Seems like a nice guy. So it just felt a lot like the Michigan J.J. McCarthy, which is I love the coach at Michigan and the tight end and the defense. And that’s what I felt yesterday.
