The fashion choice punched like nuclear considering the context. Her blue-and-white ensemble dropped on social media right before UNC’s season opener against TCU. The time was exactly when all eyes were on Belichick’s transition from the Patriots sideline to Kenan Stadium.
It stung even more when TCU absolutely boat-raced the Tar Heels 48-14 on Monday night. Belichick’s squad jumped out to an early touchdown, then got steamrolled as the Horned Frogs scored 41 unanswered points.
It was the most points any Belichick-coached team had ever surrendered. So, Holliday’s color coordination felt more like salt in the wound. It could be a conscience or not. But either way, the 62-year-old managed to become part of the Belichick storyline without even setting foot in Chapel Hill.

The Martha’s Vineyard fashion statement was just the latest chapter in an ongoing soap opera between Holliday and Jordon Hudson.
It was December 2024, at a holiday party in Nantucket hosted by the nonprofit Dreamland. But it was headlined by Linda Holliday’s daughters, the Hess Twins. Hudson, Belichick’s present girlfriend, attended as a guest at the event, and things got tense quickly.

Reports claimed a “verbal incident” got heated between the two women, with sources describing Holliday as “aggressive” before Hudson was asked to leave. Security footage and eyewitness reports also described “threatening body language and escalating aggression” from Holliday and her friends toward Hudson on the dance floor.
No physical altercation occurred as Hudson, accompanied by Miss Massachusetts USA 2024 Melissa Sapini, agreed to leave with just minutes left in the event.
The drama stems from the former NFL coach’s messy transition from his longtime relationship with Holliday to his romance with Hudson, who is young enough to be his granddaughter.
This new relationship should be private, but it wasn’t. With Belichick now coaching in the fishbowl of college football, every detail gets dissected by ESPN and social media. For that, both Belichick and Hudson are getting massive negative attention from football fans.
