The Detroit Lions will be one of the most interesting teams to watch this upcoming season. In 2023 they broke records and made history all the way to the NFC Championship game. The Lions are fully expected to be a contender in the NFC in 2024.
Now an experienced veteran will try to add to that excitement.
The Detroit Lions Add 122-Game Starter To The Offense
According to Nick Shook of NFL.com:
Not done adding veteran wideouts, Detroit also added Allen Robinson, who was cut Tuesday by the New York Giants.
Robinson is no stranger to the NFC North, as he spent four seasons with the Chicago Bears. Having started his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars before moving on to Chicago, Robinson has become a journeyman following the 2021 season with the Bears. He played subsequent years with the Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers before signing on with the Giants this spring.
These are the kind of stats Robinson has put up throughout his career:
- 122 Games Started
- 562 Receptions
- 7,028 receiving yards
- 43 receiving touchdowns
Adding that type of experience to your practice squad can never hurt a team who is chasing a championship.
