USC’s head coach, Lincoln Riley, did not have the best time in his first three seasons at USC and thus humbled the 41-year-old head coach.
USC joined the Big Ten this season, and the Trojans finished the year with a 6-6 record; it seemed like they could be a playoff team knocking off LSU in Week One.
The only highlight of USC’s season was its win over the Tigers, and it seems that Riley’s days in southern California will soon be over.
The Trojans don’t seem ready to compete in the Big Ten, and they are still far behind Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan, who seem to be ahead of the class in the conference.
On Tuesday, USC received the horrible news that wide receiver Zachariah Branch and his brother’s safety, Zion Branch, entered the transfer portal. This is a significant blow since Zachariah was the best wide receiver in his class coming out of high school two years ago.
It’s not good to see Riley lose some of the most prominent players, and it doesn’t help that they keep losing games. USC might make a coaching change in the next two years because Riley is not cutting it, and fans are going after the young head coach.
