The Colorado Buffaloes have been one of the most polarizing teams in college football this season. They did not make it to the college football playoffs this season and they did not go to the BIG12 Championship Game either. Colorado finished with a 9-3 record during the regular season.

As for the BYU Cougars, they finished with a 10-2 record during the regular season. BYU also did not make it to the BIG12 title game. The Arizona State Sun Devils and the Iowa State Cyclones played each other in that game.
Colorado Buffaloes Will Face the BYU Cougars In the Valero Alamo Bowl On December 28

The Buffaloes will play their season finale against the Cougars on Saturday, December 28 in the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. The kickoff for that game will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. One of the biggest questions will be whether or not Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will play in this game because of their draft stocks.

If they don’t play in this game, then it changes for both the Buffaloes and the Cougars. Both of these teams did not meet during the regular season in the BIG12 Conference.

Coming in here and saying this should’ve been the big 12 championship game when you have a big 12 team in a bye at 4 seed representing the conference is wild. Fumbling bags and trying to still claim them 🤣🤦🏽♂️

It is very rare for a bowl game to have two teams from the same conference play one another. It would have been better for the Colorado Buffaloes and the BYU Cougars to face someone from a different conference. This is what was decided instead and this could be a highly entertaining bowl game depending on what Colorado star players decide to do.
