College Football Coaches Poll Top 25
The College Football Coaches Poll was released and the Buffs were not on the top 25, but there is still a chance as there’s hope as two votes did come in for Colorado to be ranked top 25.
Given Colorado’s record some would say Colorado was not going to get the votes needed to crack the top 25. True, Colorado still needs to prove themselves. The Buffs went 4-8 last season, but the Buffs have a quarterback and a two-way star who potentially could either win the Heisman.
Colorado Governor Defends Deion Sanders
The ordained Governor of Colorado and the Buffs’ long snapper, Camden Demsey, had some things to say about the scathing article that came out about Colorado, Coach Prime, and the culture in Boulder. Granted, he’s not the real Governor. He’s just named the governor, and you’re about to find out why Demsey is nicknamed The Governor.
“The headline there is enough is enough. We’re a program that’s in the spotlight and with that you’re going to have a lot of lovers, which are great but you’re also going to have a lot of haters…
One thing that we recognize on this team is coach Prime is an incredible man who is in the space of college sports. He’s a businessman, he’s a family man, and he’s also shaking everything up, and with that you’re going to get people who don’t like that.
So I mean these pieces doesn’t have any impact on the team. We’re still down there, horse blinders on, practicing hard. At the end of the day, we’re working our hardest and we’ve got a coach who’s changing the scope of college football and that’s all we care about.
We just have to prove the world that what we’re doing out on that field is what we’re promising people. That’s something that this season is going to show.
When those lights come on against North Dakota State and we’re out there, people are going to see that all the the media, the furor, everything that’s been going around us doesn’t mean a lot when you’re going to look at our record.”
College Football Coaches vs EVERYBODY
This list boast both controversy and accuracy. Most controversial is the fan-favorite Colorado Buff’s not making the AFCA Coaches Poll Top 25. The team Colorado was last season is not the same team today.
159 seasons of NFL experience within CU coaching staff, and the hiring of new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, formerly with the local Denver Bronco’s, and new defensive coordinator Robert Livingston, formerly with the Baltimore Ravens, in addition to a host of draft-rated players joining the Buffs from the transfer portal.
Colorado isn’t the team snuffed from the Top 25:
With great excitement for the 2024 season, the fans should expect 10+ win season, and a conference title. There’s no doubt how Colorado will start the season, what’s under a microscope is how they finish the season.
