The Las Vegas Raiders will have a busy offseason with $99.5 million cap space to work with and plenty of free agents. Highlighting one of Las Vegas’ defensive team needs is secondary since their pass defense ranked middle of the pack in receptions, receiving yards, passing touchdowns, and interceptions. The Raiders will have four key defensive backs set to hit free agency, including their former undrafted free agent, who had a solid third season.

Isaiah Pola-Mao completed the final year of his 3-year, $2,570,000 undrafted free agent contract, which he signed during the 2022 offseason, and he is set to hit free agency as a restricted free agent. Pola-Mao had a solid third season, filling in for Marcus Epps, who tore his ACL in Week 3, and since taking over, boasting career-highs in tackles, pass deflections, forced fumbles, starts, and snaps. He recorded 89 tackles, two TFLs, one sack, five pass deflections, and two forced fumbles in 17 games and 14 starts, representing 954 (86%) snaps.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Las Vegas Raiders and Isaiah Pola-Mao agreed to a multi-year contract extension. As Rapoport points out, the deal is for two years and is worth up to $8.45 million. The former undrafted free-agent safety and nephew of Troy Polamalu is under contract for the next two seasons.
