The Las Vegas Raiders kicked off training camp this week at the Intermountain Health Performance Center in Henderson, Nevada. They held their first practice on Wednesday and their first open practice on Thursday. The Raiders will have a closed practice on Friday, followed by a day off on Saturday, and their second open practice on Sunday, wrapping up the first week.
The Raiders are close to full health with only two players opening camp on the active/PUP list. This designation allows them to count against the 90-man roster and can be activated at any time. Highlighting one of the two players on the PUP list is their elite defensive lineman.
The Las Vegas Raiders’ elite DT is dealing with a foot injury

Christian Wilkins suffered a season-ending Jones fracture in his left foot in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, typically requiring a six-to-twelve-week recovery time. However, his rehab has not gone according to plan, nine months removed from the injury. Wilkins has yet to practice this offseason, hence him opening training camp on the PUP list.

Las Vegas Raiders suddenly cut an injured $110 million star

According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders released Christian Wilkins on Thursday night due to his handling of his rehab. Therefore, the front office voided the remaining $35.2 million in guarantees last month, and on Thursday, he filed a grievance with the NFL Players Association. Since Wilkins’ rehab was taking longer than expected, the team wanted him to undergo a second surgery; however, he opted against it, which is why he was released.

- Adam Butler
- Leki Fotu
- Jonah Laulu
- Tonka Hemingway
- J.J. Pegues
- Zach Carter
- Tank Booker
- Treven Ma’ae
Because of their relatively weak depth, the Raiders could land a veteran in free agency. Some notable free-agent defensive tackles include Quinton Jefferson, Raekwon Davis, Maurice Hurst, Jordan Phillips, Austin Johnson, Montravius Adams, and Brent Urban.
