“Unwilling to Do”: Las Vegas Raiders Superstar’s Injury Revealed

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers suffered a knee injury in Week 1 against the New England Patriots, initially described as day-to-day. Since then, the superstar hasn’t been as explosive as he once was, leaving many fans concerned that something is wrong. Bowers has caught 14 passes on 19 targets for 122 yards, averaging 4.6 receptions and 40.6 yards per game, over the past three weeks.

He detailed his struggles with playing through the injury.

“It’s painful, sore, just annoying [and] frustrating because I want to be back to full strength and going full speed, being able to separate from guys,” Bowers said, via Ryan McFadden of ESPN. “I feel like I can’t really do that to the best of my abilities right now.”

Brock Bowers practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday but was held out on Thursday and Friday, giving him the best chance to play in Week 5. However, the optimism has faded, with Ian Rapoport reporting on Saturday that he is trending towards not playing against the Indianapolis Colts. To add salt to the wound, the Raiders elevated Albert Okwuegbunam, and the team will reveal their inactive players list 90 minutes before kickoff, officially deciding Bowers’ fate.

Something clearly isn’t right with him, and it was only a matter of time before fans figured out what exactly is going on.

According to Adam Schefter, Brock Bowers has been playing through a PCL injury and a bone bruise in his left knee ever since Week 1. Doctors have advised rest as the only way to recover, but he appears unwilling to do so. The Raiders hope that Bowers’ sitting out will help him fully recover sooner rather than later, allowing him to regain his explosiveness.
