It has been a while since the last time that the Las Vegas Raiders franchise was deemed a relevant, NFL playoff contender. The Raiders made the postseason just twice since 2002, and in both of those occasions, they failed to progress past the wild-card round.
But hope remains for the Raiders. The future of the franchise seems a lot brighter today because of young talents like tight end Brock Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty, with the latter carrying plenty of promise following an incredible season with the Boise State Broncos in the collegiate ranks.
“He’s a beast, he’s a beast,” Bowers said on Wednesday amid Las Vegas’ practice. “He’s out there, you know, he’s quick, he’s fast. He’s rocked up, he’s thick, so he’s pretty good.”
While Bowers’ comment on Jeanty was nothing but an honest observation and compliment for the running back, fans on social media can’t help but interpret it in another way.
“Jesus Christ, bro “rocked up” is outta control 😂”
“Rocked up?! Thick?! In consecutive order?! ….”
“😭😭😭 whoever posted know exactly what they doing!!!”
“Then bowers continued “he is rocked up… im bricked up we are good to go””
“Goodness Gracious Brock 😳”
“Pause, that was crazy.”
Jeanty, Bowers could form a lethal 1-2 punch for Las Vegas Raiders offense

The Raiders had one of the most lethargic attacks in the NFL during the 2024 season, as they finished just 29th in the league overall with an average of 18.2 points per game. Even though they were third in the league with a 64.32 percent passing play rate, they still were just 13th in the league with 223.4 passing yards per game.
Bowers was a big part of the Raiders’ offense, and was arguably what kept the team from being the worst in the league offensively. He finished his NFL rookie season with 1,194 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 112 receptions and 153 targets.
A new quarterback in Geno Smith and the arrival of Jeanty could open up more angles for the Raiders’ offense. Jeanty should see a bulk of touches out of the backfield after rushing for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns for Boise State in 2024.
