There is no shortage of drama this NFL offseason. Most of the drama revolves around the quarterback position. The Lamar Jackson situation is one of the most intriguing. The Baltimore Ravens clearly want him back but Jackson is asking for a huge price tag and up until this point, the team seems unwilling to pay it. This has led to many people wondering if Jackson will be on another team next year. A new team has emerged as the betting favorite.

New Team Emerges As Betting Favorite For Lamar Jackson

The betting site “Bookies” has the Atlanta Falcons as the betting favorite to land Lamar Jackson. They are one of three teams that are ahead of the Ravens in terms of odds. The Panthers and Raiders all have better odds than the Ravens to land the star quarterback. The Falcons would be a great team for Lamar as they are already heavily focused on the run. Kyle Pitts and Drake London are both young dynamic players that would fit in well with Jackson’s skill set. It would make the Falcons the clear favorite in the NFC South.

Will Any Team Pay The Huge Price?

I am not going to fault Jackson for trying to get his money. However, I am not going to fault the Ravens, or any team for that matter, for being cautious. It is a situation that is headed toward some type of compromise but neither side seems to be willing to budge right now. The Deshaun Watson deal has set the bar very high in terms of guaranteed money and Jackson seems to be chasing that type of guarantee.

The NFL offseason is always full of drama but this year seems especially high. Depending on what happens with all of the quarterbacks, the landscape of the league could drastically shift.
