“How People Did Him, I Just Don’t Like That”: Lamar Jackson Gets Real On Mark Andrews Hate After Playoff Loss To Bills In 2024

Lamar Jackson, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, spoke about his tight-end Mark Andrews and the immense hate he received after the 2024 Super Bowl loss to the Buffalo Bills. Andrews failed to catch a pass from Jackson, which would have tied the score and extended the game with the Bills. After Andrews dropped the catch, the Buffalo Bills were declared Super Bowl winners, while the Ravens faced plenty of trolling, especially from Andrews.

In fact, Mark Andrews, who has been playing for the Baltimore Ravens since 2018, even received death threats from fans who blamed him for the loss in the Super Bowl. Jackson was asked about this after the minicamp on Tuesday, and the quarterback had nothing but positive things to say about his favorite tight end.

“He’s done so much for us, and how people did him, I just don’t like that… I feel like, just let things happen sometimes. We wish we would’ve won the game. I wish I didn’t throw that interception. I wish I didn’t fumble. I wish the mishap didn’t happen. It’s a lesson learned, man, so next time, we’ll do something better. We’re going to bounce back. We’ll come back and I feel like we’re gonna have vengeance on our mind.”  Lamar Jackson said about tight end Mark Andrews, in his latest conversation with press reporters after the training camp on Tuesday.

Lamar Jackson deviated from his response to a question to make it clear he did not like how Mark Andrews was treated after the Buffalo loss last season:

Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews have struck up a pretty successful partnership with each other on the team, while also being close friends off the field. Jackson and the Ravens are training hard to do better in their upcoming season, after a lackluster performance last year.

Lamar Jackson’s Super Bowl Aim Downplayed By James Jones

While Ravens fans have been delighted to see the fire in Lamar Jackson’s eyes as he swore vengeance to get his team to the Super Bowl, others like retired wide receiver James Jones, think differently. Jones recently appeared on ‘The Facility’ and admitted that Jackson’s statements do not hold much water and should not be taken seriously.

According to Jones, Lamar Jackson has managed to make it to every game but the Super Bowl, which is certainly true. While Jackson managed to win the NFL MVP twice in his career, the talented quarterback has not been fortunate to win even one Super Bowl ring so far. It seems like Jackson is getting desperate to win a ring before he retires for good.
