Lamar Jackson, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was lately credited by wide receiver Rashod Bateman for cracking a three-year contract extension deal for a sum of $36,750,000. Bateman discussed his contract extension in his latest appearance on ‘The Lounge’ podcast and spoke at length on how QB Jackson essentially brought the extension into reality.
Jackson, as a quarterback and a person, has gained the respect of his teammates in the Baltimore Ravens, especially Rashod Bateman. Bateman went on to appreciate the quarterback for his candor and also for having his back when it came to money. In fact, way before Jackson’s contract extension was finalized the quarterback guaranteed the wide receiver that the deal would come through.
“1000% because I feel like no matter, like, what I went through, l always knew that I could be like a weapon for him. He always told me that on the side, always supported me even last year before I got paid, he looked at me, before the season started, and said, ‘we’ll get you paid.’ And shout out to him, because I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him, trusting me and believing me to go out there make plays. But, I mean, he called it before I did.” Rashod Bateman said when he was asked on ‘The Lounge’ podcast, if Lamar Jackson’s presence in the Baltimore Ravens influenced his desire to stay with the team.
