On Friday evening, reports surfaced that the Seattle Seahawks were set to sign a former divisional rival’s Pro Bowl player. The Seahawks needed to add help in the trenches for the upcoming season.
The Seattle Seahawks need help with run-blocking

According to Pro Football Focus, the Seahawks’ offensive line struggled with run blocking. Last season, they ranked 28th in run blocking and 15th in pass protection. The Seahawks added a guard who served the 49ers well as a run blocker.
Laken Tomlinson signs with the Seahawks

According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Seahawks are set to sign Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal.

The Detroit Lions selected Tomlinson with the No. 28 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Lions traded Tomlinson to the 49ers in 2017 for a fifth-round pick. He earned a Pro Bowl appearance for his performance in the 2021 season.
Tomlinson was with the Jets in the previous two regular seasons. He earned his best grades from PFF for the 2020 (78.8) and 2021 (75.9) seasons. He earned an 80.9 grade for his run blocking in the 2020 season.
Tomlinson hasn’t played his best football outside 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan’s system. He earned a 55.0 grade for his play last year on the Jets.

I like how they chose the 49ers uniform over the Jets uniform. as though he is coming from the 9ers.
