The San Francisco 49ers were humbled on Thursday night in a few ways. The 49ers dropped their eighth loss of the season in a game where head coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense was limited to six offensive points.
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel made a big show during the week by complaining that he didn’t see enough targets. However. The star receiver caught just three of his seven targets and dropped a pass that should have resulted in a touchdown in the third quarter.
The San Francisco 49ers are in trouble

Dysfunction is starting to appear in the locker room, as 49ers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell chose not to come into the game in the second, leading Shanahan to say Campbell wouldn’t play for the remainder of the season.
The 49ers’ 12-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at Levi’s Stadium dropped the team’s record to 6-8. With three games left in the regular season, San Francisco’s postseason dreams are shot.
Kyren Williams took a shot at the 49ers

Rams running back Kyren Williams rubbed salt into the 49ers’ wounds after the game. Per the Los Angeles Times, Williams said the Rams are the “big brothers” in the relationship with their NFC West foe after sweeping San Francisco for the first season since 2018.
“Being able to do that, knowing how good of a team they are and knowing the history with the two organizations, it’s huge,” Williams said. “And it shows that we’re the big brothers now.”
The Rams defeated the 49ers 27-24 in their first matchup of the season on Sept. 22. Los Angeles has won three straight in the series going back to their January contest when the Rams defeated San Francisco 21-20 at Levi’s Stadium.
Since 2020, the 49ers lead the series 7-4.
