Ohio State finally suffered its first season loss last weekend, falling to Oregon 32-31. Many Buckeye fans have gone crazy, calling for their head coach, Ryan Day, to be fired and quarterback Will Howard to be benched.
Howard had a nice performance on Satruday, throwing for 326 yards and two scores, but his late-game mistake of running the ball with six seconds left and not getting down to call a timeout left many Ohio State fans angry.

One former Buckeye quarterback knows a thing or two about mad Ohio State fans and decided to blast them on Thursday.
Kirk Herbstreit Calls Out Ohio State Fans

Herbstreit was on the Pat McAfee show on Thursday afternoon and was not too happy with the minority of Ohio State fans going after Howard and stated, “By the way, Will Howard taking sh*t from Ohio State fans. Again, it’s that vocal 10 to 12, 15-percent… They’re an embarrassment to the fanbase.”
The former Buckeye quarterback knows a lot about dealing with the loud Ohio State fans who criticize everything a player does, and he dealt with it as an athlete and broadcaster.
Many Buckeye fans are great and don’t complain much, but a few speak the loudest, have no idea what they are talking about, and cause the most damage.
Ohio State fans need to chill out, going after players every time they lose a game. Howard played great and made a mistake a few times, but the Buckeyes wouldn’t have even been in the game if it wasn’t for him.
