With a victory this past Monday in Philadelphia, Taylor Heinicke has entered the conversation when it comes to the chain game against Kirk Cousins. As Kirk Cousins so famously flaunted on the Vikings flight home from Washington two weeks ago after the come from behind victory, Taylor Heinicke has now entered the conversation in regards to who wore it better.
As I alluded to earlier, Kirk Cousins started the victory chain this season when the Vikings came from behind to defeat the Commanders a few weeks back. Viking cornerback Chandon Sullivan snapped a video on his instagram story showing Kirk Cousins wearing what I can count as six chains on the flight back from Washington.
This is not a move to expect from Kirk Cousins as has been known in the past to wear his button down flannels and have a very modest attire. Now Kirk Cousins is dubbed as the “Flyest QB in the league” by his teammates and may be the hottest NFL meme going around the internet at the moment.
Fast forward to last night when the Commanders beat the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. Heinicke was spotted rocking some of his teammates’ chains on the flight home from Philly but he had an added twist that may give him the lead as the “Flyest QB in the NFL”. Heinicke used a trash bin as a makeshift cooler which stored a six pack of Busch Lights.
So the deciding factor is breaking down the “film” themselves; and by “film” I mean the Instagram videos.
Kirk “Kirko” Cousins
Starting with Kirk Cousins. So according to K.J. Osbourne, Vikings wide receiver, had no idea how it just happened. He stated on The 33rd Team’s video on youtube.

“Kirk had his wife dress him. You know he had Kirk’s swag and you know that’s Kirk he’s his own dude.” He went on to say how Kirk didn’t want the video to go out on social media and somehow it got out and thank god it did. Understanding that this started after the London game against the Saints this has been a long standing tradition for the Vikings this year. So Kirko Cousins has been around for a bit now but the quarterback’s alter ego is just coming into the forefront now.

The Jordan Man, Taylor Heinicke
For Taylor Heinicke though, the makeshift cooler is a nice touch as not only is he an electric quarterback but it also shows that he is a man of ingenuity. Heinicke later on in the video is spotted wearing an iced out gold watch and a pair of what appear to be Gucci glasses. Heinicke looks like he’s doing his best impression of White Boy Rick.

People who know about the former Old Dominion quarterback to know what he does when he beats teams. Going back to last season, when Heinicke and the Commanders beat a team he gets a pair of Jordan color ways in that team’s colors. Yesterday Heinicke purchased a pair of green metallic Jordan 4’s which are a nice touch.

So Who Wore It Better? You Decide
So when comparing the two quarterbacks there is no true way to compare how they looked in the chains. “Kirko Chainz” came out of a team just showing their camaraderie after victories and that as a fan is something that you love to see out of professional athletes.
In Taylor Heinicke’s case he seems to be a more flashy quarterback when it comes to his purchases of Jordan’s and he clearly should have gotten an engineering degree from Old Dominion showing how to properly use a trash can as a cooler. With that being said I truly cannot decide. Either way both of these men have blessed the internet with some hysterical videos.
