The Cleveland Browns have experienced many changes over the past three days, and it started on Sunday when starting quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles, sidelining him for the rest of the season.
Backup quarterback Jameis Winston was named the starter moving forward, and the Browns also made another move that nobody saw coming.
Kevin Stefanski Takes A Step Down

This offseason, the Browns hired former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey to the same role, and his job was to unleash Watson in his style of offense.
Brown’s offense was the worst in the NFL over the first seven weeks, so Dorsey didn’t do anything to unleash Watson. Even though it was Dorsey’s job to get the offense going, he was not responsible for the play-calling.
Stefanski has been the offensive player caller since he was hired in 2020, but on Wednesday, he announced that he has given up those duties and that Dorsey will take over.

There is no way Stefanski was the one who wanted to give the play calling up, and it had to be somebody higher up in the building telling him to do it.
Usually, when a coach turnovers play calling in the middle of the season, the coach will be fired, and there is a good chance that happens now with Stefanski.
Stefanski can now focus more on the game itself than looking at his play sheet, and that might be because of all the horrible penalties the team has had this season. He can pay more attention to what is happening on the field.

Firing Kevin Stefanski would be a mistake since he is a good coach, and nobody is going to want to take over this job, but nobody knows what owner Jimmy Haslam is thinking.
Cleveland will take on the Baltimore Ravens this week in a game they will lose by at least 20 points.
